Eden Valley Riding Holiday

Eden Valley Riding Holiday with Stonetrail

4 Days & 4 Nights £795

This holiday has always been a popular choice with riders staying in one of our lovely farmhouses here at Stonetrail and enjoying a ride out each day exploring the wonderful bridleways around Kirkby Stephen. Although we offer trail rides across the whole of Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales through amazing scenery we have an extraordinary amount of beautiful bridleways and circular day rides right on our doorstep which is why many of our riders choose this holiday year after year. We consider ourselves very lucky, the Eden Valley remains a hidden gem where you can ride all day and hardly see a sole, a peaceful quiet haven.

ev1.jpgOn this holiday you will return to Stonetrail each night to enjoy a stay in our luxury farmhouse complete with an spa room, a perfect treat after a full day in the saddle! On Monday & Tuesday there is a ride starting and finishing at Stonetrail and on Wednesday & Thursday a two day circular trail with the horses stopping out midway and riders returning by car to stay at Stonetrail. Each day there are plenty of lovely canters as well as time to relax and enjoy the scenery. This holiday is a great choice if you prefer not to pack every day yet still want to explore lots of different trails. On the first evening there is a dinner included in the farmhouse and on the remaining nights the group eat out at one of our local inns.

All our holidays are "hands on" where you are encouraged to get fully involved looking after and getting to know your horse in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. You will ride the same horse each day and will naturally build a special bond. Every day you will catch, feed, groom and tack up. When we are out on a trail and riding from place to place we are supported by our support vehicle (our mobile tack room) and have a well-rehearsed routine before and after the ride to ensure our horses have everything they need and the ride runs smoothly.

For the majority of rides, your Ride Leader will be Alison, the owner of Stonetrail who started the business in 2007 and has years of experience riding and leading trail riding holidays. Assisting Alison will be a team of equally experienced and mature helpers who are there to make sure you have a fun, safe and wonderful riding experience.  Click here to read more about Alison and our riding holidays.
